Report Writer primary responsibility is responding to all security incidents involving guests and team members on property. The Report Writer is responsible for completing all paperwork and gathering detailed facts and personal information of the parties involved along with witnesses without drawing their own conclusion. Report Writer will also provide extraordinary service to guests between incidents and perform other duties as assigned by the Security Leaders./pulliHandles initial investigations for the Risk Management department./liliGathers facts about different incidents such as lost or stolen items, injuries, and disputes./liliActs as an agent of the casino and thus must have the knowledge and communication skills to act accordingly./liliProvides the accurate responses when various situations occur./liliMaintains a well-groomed appearance which reflects the professional appearance and demeanor of the Security Department./liliMeets the required attendance guidelines for the job and adhere to all company and department policies and procedures./liliSets an example to be a role model for all Security personnel through observance of all departmental policies and procedures./liliReport writers must have a working knowledge of all the below positions to accurately do their job: ulliBike Patrol/liliDoor Officer/liliHotel Security Officer/liliSecurity Officer/li/ul/li/ulpThe ideal candidate for this role has excellent investigation skills and writing skills. He or she must be able to gather facts, process information through critical thinking, and use good judgment in solving problems to display a realistic understanding of the issues before them. The candidate must be able to facilitate resolution of potential service failures through personal action and coordination with other departments./pulliMust be at least 21 years of age to work in a casino./liliHigh School diploma or GED required./liliAttention to detail and ability to remain calm under demanding situations./liliMust possess good oral and written communication skills along with a good working knowledge of computer programs; must read, write, speak, and understand English./liliMust possess strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills./liliMust be physically able to stand and walk for long periods of time regardless of weather conditions./liliPrevious public relations or security experience is desirable./liliMust present a well-groomed appearance./liliMust be able to work any day of the week/liliAbility to maintain extremely confidential information./liliGeneral familiarity with investigative procedures./liliAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and a flexible schedule; must allow for changes in assignments, and priorities depending on identified needs of the company./liliAbility to work independently as well as part of a team./liliMust be able to obtain or possess a Louisiana Gaming License/li/ulpMust be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds. Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned desk area. Must be able to stoop, bend, jump, twist, crouch, grip and carry heavy loads and run on level surfaces as well as up and down stairs.
