Birmingham Vauxhall & Changan

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £65k-80k OTE (£45,000-£55,000 DOE basic plus bonus)

Hours: 44 Hours – Mon to Fri 9.00am to 6.00pm (one late finish to 7pm and a day off midweek), Sat 9.00am to 5.00pm and Sun 11.00am to 3.00pm (rota basis)

A rare and exciting opportunity has become available at Birmingham Vauxhall & Changan as a Sales Manager. Have you got what it takes to lead an established department in an electrifying franchise? As Sales Manager, you will act as a role model for customer service excellence for the team, always leading by example. You will develop long‑lasting, meaningful relationships with our customers and coach and motivate the team to do so too. You will be reporting into the General Manager.

You will oversee the day‑to‑day running of the showroom, including vehicle valuations and sales; supervising the vehicle journey from workshop prep right through to imaging and showroom presentation. You will work alongside the divisional buyer, dedicated prep technicians, detailers and photography team so that you can deliver marketing standards.

Responsibilities

Managing the full sales process, from web inquiry to phone & showroom

Managing staff performance from structured 121’s to training & development

Implementing department targets and brand KPI's

Responsible for buying in vehicles and up‑to‑date stock pricing

Ensuring full FCA compliance within the Sales Department

Managing and owning our Customer Satisfaction

You will have prior experience in a similar premium automotive environment with a proven track record in transactional sales and delivering exceptional customer service experiences. You will be able to demonstrate experience in leading a highly motivated team and know how to get the best out of each team member.

Experience monitoring financial performance against budget and the ability to identify and address any shortfalls promptly is a must. You will need the ability to understand finance and insurance product regulations and have excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and negotiate a sale. Due to the nature of the role, a full UK driving licence is essential.
