Who They’re Looking For
TL;DR:

Seeking a VP/SVP of Marketing to own strategy and execution across demand generation, product marketing, event marketing, brand, content, and customer marketing.

About the Role
As VP/SVP of Marketing, you will be the architect and driver of demand generation strategy. Your primary objective: build a predictable pipeline to fuel sales growth. This role reports directly to the CEO and requires both strategic vision and hands‑on execution.

Key Responsibilities

Design and execute scalable, multi‑channel demand generation programs to exceed pipeline and revenue goals.

Build paid and organic campaigns across LinkedIn, Google, ABM platforms, and events.

Implement a metrics‑driven approach to pipeline attribution, campaign ROI, and marketing spend efficiency.

Partner closely with Sales leadership to align ICP, messaging, MQL/SQL handoff, and nurture programs.

Collaborate with Marketing/Sales Ops to evaluate and manage reporting within the MarTech stack.

Lead positioning, messaging, and competitive differentiation that resonates with the ideal customer profile.

Develop a content strategy that educates buyers and accelerates the sales cycle (blogs, webinars, guides, case studies).

Create customer advocacy, testimonial, and referral programs to drive social proof and expansion revenue.

Partner with Customer Success to drive upsell, cross‑sell, and retention through lifecycle campaigns.

Build and lead a lean, high‑performing team (in‑house + agency/freelance mix).

Set clear goals, develop KPIs, and foster a performance‑driven culture.

Collaborate with executive leadership on company‑level planning, budgeting, and growth strategy.

What It’ll Take to Land an Interview
Must‑Haves (100% required):

5–10+ years of progressive B2B SaaS marketing experience, with 2–3+ years in a VP or senior leadership role.

Proven track record scaling pipeline and revenue from ~$5M to $25M+.

Deep expertise in demand generation, pipeline attribution, and sales‑marketing alignment.

Hands‑on and strategic: able to both build the plan and run programs/campaigns.

Strong analytical mindset with a test‑and‑learn approach.

Executive‑level experience with CRM and marketing automation tools (HubSpot, Clay, LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads).

Excellent communicator and cross‑functional collaborator.

Nice To Have (Not Required):

Experience in field sales‑driven environments.

Based in Raleigh or NYC.
