Position Overview

We are hiring an Email & SMS Strategist to elevate ecommerce teams and drive $500M in email & SMS revenue for our partner brands.
This Role Is For You If:

You recognize that “30% revenue from email” lacks context.
You understand that email performance begins with the offer and not just creative.
You believe in creating targeted and meaningful communication rather than sending blanket campaigns.
You utilize cohort data for customer segmentation and timing of marketing flows.
You can quantify your impact on brand growth with specific statistics.
This Role Is NOT For You If:

You think a 40% open rate is a success.
You prefer to build numerous automations over a few effective ones.
You prioritize subject line testing over offer testing.
You see yourself as just a tool user without strategic input.
You measure success by quantity of campaigns sent rather than the revenue generated.
Your Responsibilities

Own the retention strategy for 2-6 ecommerce brands with annual revenues between $5M – $50M+.
Develop and execute email and SMS strategies that boost measurable revenue while ensuring list engagement.
Lead strategy direction for subscriber acquisition, engagement, and retention.
Collaborate with copywriters, designers, and project managers to implement strategies.
Build advanced segments and automated flows in Klaviyo tailored to business needs.
Analyze email/SMS performance and present reports to clients and leadership.
Proactively suggest experiments and strategies to client marketing teams.
Technical Requirements

3+ years of hands-on Email & SMS Marketing experience for ecommerce brands.
3+ years of experience creating complex segmentation and automated flows.
Deep experience with Klaviyo.
Managed accounts generating $500K+ in email/SMS revenue.
Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
Fluent in ecommerce metrics including LTV, repurchase rate, and CAC.
Nice to Have

Familiarity with tools like Recharge, Yotpo, and Postscript.
Other digital marketing experience.
Knowledge of analytics tools like Looker Studio and Google Analytics.

Practical Details

Job Type: Fully remote contract position.
Start: 20 hrs/week, can grow to 30-40 hrs/week.
Schedule: Must overlap 9am-1pm PST daily.
