Our award-winning theme park is looking for a part-time Audio Technician to join our technical team here at Anakeesta.The ideal candidate would have a strong background in audio and is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the park audio systems, setting up live sound and recording equipment, making adjustments, testing equipment, and operating live productions. This position reports to the Technical Operations Manager.ResponsibilitiesMix live audio for stage and roaming performancesPerform daily rehearsal support consisting of audio and stage set upPerform pre and post show checks to ensure correct and smooth execution of the showAssist in audio equipment changeover for next showManage daily audio system schedulesPerform routine maintenance and upkeep of park audio systems along with related componentsChange audio programming and placement for special events and holidaysInstall, repair and terminate CAT5/6 cabling for audio systemsKeep work area orderly, neat, safe, and well maintainedLog all daily repairs and equipment needsAssist in other areas of the technical department as directed (lighting and video support)Drive company vehicles (cars, vans, utility vehicles, non-commercial trucks) to transport personnel and/or suppliesOther duties may be assignedQualificationsA minimum of 2 years’ experience required which demonstrates the successful execution of similar duties and responsibilities in a theme park environmentGood knowledge of indoor and outdoor technical theater equipment, installation, and operationAbility to operate, program, and troubleshoot technical equipmentExperience and solid understanding of DMX cabling, setup, and troubleshootingExperience operating various audio systems and consolesTest, repair, and clean audio equipmentGood working knowledge and understanding of electricityAbility to use hand tools and power tools such as voltmeters, soldering pencils and guns, clamp on digital multimeters, hand drills, electric saws, hammers, screw guns, wrenches, pliers, boom lifts, scissor lifts, ladders, etc.Reading, writing, and math skills necessary to: Label equipment, control systems, cables, etc.Understand related schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and manufacturer manualsAbility to initiate inventory lists, monthly maintenance reports of related equipmentAbility to think clearly and react quickly and calmly to changes and/or emergency situationsMust promote and support a “team” environment by cooperating and helping co-workersAble to hear, see, speak, and write EnglishMust be able to hear well in a noisy or musical environmentMust have required technical capacity and strong problem analysis/solving abilityAble to get along with other employees to work out problems and resolve conflictsAble to maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedulesMust be able to move about, climb, bend, twist, kneel, stoop, carry, push and pull up to 50 lbs.Must be able to adjust to outside temperatures ranging from 0 to 110 degrees Fahrenheit with fluctuations in humidityMust be able to climb and work comfortably in high positions up to 80 feet off the groundWorking knowledge of basic networking equipment and application/configuration preferredExperience with SMPTE timecode preferredAbility to solder and do light PCB repair preferredBenefitsCompetitive payFree admission for employees and their immediate familyEmployee discounts on food and merchandiseGenerous pass exchange program with over 30 area attractionsIf you meet the above qualifications, and would like join our team, we would love to receive your application!
