ORGANIZATION MISSION: The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Suncoast is to provide high-quality, out-of-school Club experiences to ensure our young people, especially those who need us most, are on track to graduate from high school with a plan for their future, demonstrate good character & citizenship, and live a healthy lifestyle.
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), the Digital Marketing Strategist is a key member of the Marketing team. The Graphic Designer will help us to create visual concepts for a variety of media, including print/digital advertisements, branded/promotional pieces, and fundraising event collateral for both Boys & Girls Clubs of the Suncoast and Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay.
Under the guidance and support of the Chief Marketing Officer, this person plays a vital part in translating our mission into visually appealing graphic using design software to create logos, illustrations, layouts, and branded materials. The Graphic Designer will collaborate closely with the Digital Marketing Strategists to manage requests and create effective static and animated imagery to increase visibility, spread awareness, and inspire support within local communities.
Responsibilities
Creating and designing various materials for digital and print use.
Preparing rough drafts, presenting ideas, and ensuring final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.
Develop graphics, images, videos, decks, and designs using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or other design software.
Working with Chief Marketing Officer to determine tone and messaging for graphic design pieces, projects, and campaigns.
Collaborating with team and peers to develop streamlined approaches for design requests.
Advising best practices and optimizations throughout design projects.
Managing multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions.
Qualifications
Degree or advanced degree in related field preferred.
Strong understanding of core design principles, typography, color theory, and branding identity.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop).
Understanding of Wix and/or Wordpress website platform or willingness to learn.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Photography and videography skills.
Creative flair for content, staging, and graphics.
Organized and able to multitask.
Tech savvy and initiative taking about learning/using new tools.
Travel
Travel will be required to multiple Club facilities throughout Pinellas and Hillsborough County for training and/or other business purposes.
