Responsibilities:
Conduct annual SOX audits and support financial reporting compliance activities.
Review internal controls and work with teams to improve risk management processes.
Prepare and maintain process documentation, control narratives, and flowcharts.
Assist in identifying financial reporting risks and designing effective controls.
Coordinate SOX walkthroughs and audit testing with internal and external auditors.
Work with SOX coordinators to track progress and resolve compliance issues.
Discuss process changes with business owners and assess control impacts.
Support management, auditors, and process owners on SOX-related requirements.
Maintain SOX documents and ensure compliance with retention guidelines.
Support quarterly certification and compliance reporting activities.
Investigate audit exceptions and identify control deficiencies.
Perform root cause analysis and support remediation of identified issues.
Develop corrective action plans and monitor remediation progress.
Prepare management reports on deficiencies and financial reporting impacts.
Recommend process improvements to strengthen internal controls and reduce risks.
Communicate regularly with stakeholders regarding SOX deliverables and updates.
Assist in special projects related to financial reporting and compliance.
Act as a subject matter expert on SOX compliance and internal controls.

Requirements:
Four-Year College Degree (BA or BS] - Accounting (business/finance) Audit background
5-10 Years of relevant work experience – min of 5 yrs
Familiarity with Audit, Sarbanes Oxley, COSO, GRC methodologies and frameworks
Strong written and oral communication
Strong analytical skills, initiative; ability to multi-task
Ability to develop strong partnerships and influence people
Ability to work with ambiguous or changing work situations, tasks, assignments
Ability to quickly learn new applications or software tools
A high degree of organizational skills with the ability to work in a deadline driven environment

Added bonus if you have (Preferred):
Advance degree (Master of Accounting / MBA)
CPA / CIA / CFE
Financial Services, banking, or automotive industry experience.
Archer Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) Software
