A cruise line is searching for a Sales Planning Manager to join their team for a 3-Month Contract in Santa Clarita, CA! This position will require being on-site 3 days a week, and working remotely 2 days.
This role leads and oversees the sales planning and administration function for North America, ensuring efficient sales operations, strong trade partner relationships, and overall revenue growth. The position plays a critical role in optimizing sales processes, analyzing performance data, and supporting strategic decision-making. This leader will collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, and Finance while managing a small team and driving operational excellence across all sales initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee execution of sales policies, commercial terms, and contract administration to ensure alignment with company objectives
Manage and optimize sales operations processes to drive efficiency and compliance
Analyze co-op marketing spend, commissions, and incentives to ensure accuracy and ROI alignment
Lead and mentor a team, fostering accountability, development, and performance
Identify opportunities to improve processes and optimize sales performance through data analysis
Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, and Finance to align strategies
Provide support to National Accounts and Field Sales teams, including insights and issue resolution
Plan and execute FAM trips, events, and trade engagement initiatives
Support creation and delivery of sales tools, training materials, and marketing assets
Must-Haves
Experience in sales operations, sales planning, or sales administration leadership
Strong background in data analysis and using insights to drive decision-making
Proven ability to manage cross-functional relationships across multiple business units
Experience overseeing contracts, commissions, or marketing spend (co-op budgets)
People management experience with ability to lead and develop a team
Strong organizational and process improvement skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Plusses
Experience working with trade partners, travel agencies, or consortia relationships
Background in revenue management or commercial strategy
Experience planning and executing events, FAM trips, or partner engagement programs
