PARR's Sales Coordinator executes all aspects of our sales call process and strategies, facilitating and coordinating business activities of accounts and executing PLC sales initiatives. Their primary focus is supporting the sales team by creating quotes, processing orders and helping to manage construction schedules. The Sales Coordinator receives daily direction from the Outside Salesperson on the team and reports to the Division Sales Manager. Interacts daily with General Managers, and both internal and external customers.

Interacts regularly with corporate employees (Central Purchasing Department, Account Management Team and IT Department). Interacts regularly with vendor representatives and industry associates.

Duties and Responsibilities

Establish and maintains professional relationships with customers

Communicates with wide number of customers in Residential Construction industry, and helps to sell and manages the timely flow of building materials to their jobsite

Expertly uses, promotes & facilitates PARR Bridge Strategy

Proactively set, reach for, and meet (or exceed) personal sales and profit goals

Primary player in deepening customer relationship and scheduling timely material shipments – ensuring account profitability as well as customer satisfaction & loyalty

Ability to sell on overall quality, value, and service, rather than price

Precisely and efficiently manage one's time and prioritize workflow in face paced environment

Communicates with dispatch to ensure that they are not overpromising deliveries to customers

Sends photos of returns to dispatch with request for pickup

Maintains customer profiles in Outlook or CRM to include full name, company name, title, office number, cell number, email, and matrix

Follows best practices in order entry, setting up deliveries and all aspects of job

Manages their open orders to ensure orders are being invoiced in a timely manner or deleted

Takes action to achieve objectives; does not wait for management directive

Uses DDMS to ensure customer satisfaction

Follows SPC guidelines and proper GP%

Completes PO's on time, confirms confirmation and ties PO to order

Greets walk-in customers professionally and walks customer to product in store

Answers phone promptly with professional greeting

Identifies customer's urgency and completes orders quickly

Seeks to learn products and their application for the end user

Confirms customer's material needs prior to ordering product

Exceeds profitable SPC pricing guidelines

Completes quotes and follows up in a timely manner

Proactive with customer's needs

Maintains a PARR share file for customer plans and take-offs

Has a high level of follow-through with orders – ensures inventory arrives, communicates with customers, etc.

Perform other related duties as assigned

Job Knowledge

Writes quotes and orders with a high degree of accuracy and speed

Writes transfers and purchase orders with correct pricing

Can perform simple takeoffs for windows, doors, siding, and other materials

Regularly attends PK's and PARR offered classes

Completes AMT training

Accurately writes orders in POS

Accurate and correct use of WOQS

Follows proper material return procedures

Manages outlook and personal notebook

Utilizes all resources to find solutions

Follows all AR account and cash handling procedures

Effectively uses all preferred vendor quoting programs

Seeks to learn products and their application for end user

Completes online training as needed

Understands pricing levels and avoids un‑necessary discounting

Able to seek out product transactions and order history

Understands building codes applicable to windows, doors, and hardware

Performs takeoffs for vinyl windows & exterior doors

Helps customers with warranty issues and claims

Uses MARKETPLACE door program

Sets up new job addresses in system as needed

Makes outgoing phone calls to prospects regarding business opportunity

Attends and helps perform inventory

Arrives on time and prepared to work

Adheres to company policies

Takes ownership of self, Parr lumber performance, customer challenges, and does not criticize or condemn

Accepts experienced team member's advice and feedback

Works to ensure that other divisions of PARR also get an opportunity to sell each customer materials

Regularly assists customers

Assists customers in store/yard/warehouse when needed

Assists other team members with work as appropriate

Contributes ideas to make things better

Organizes and presents PKs to entire team when needed

Participates on safety committee as needed

Communicates in a professional style to entire yard and crew

Communicates professionally and productively with AMT

Notifies customer when product arrives

Confirms delivery time with customer after scheduled in DDMS

Writes legibly on business logs and other handwritten material

Responds to voicemails in a timely manner

Responds to emails promptly and with correct grammar and spelling

Takes ownership and communicates with management when mistakes are made

Puts clear delivery and contact information on orders

Has relationship with all coworkers and uses those relationships to solve problems

Communicates with operations team about material returns, requirements for them, and photos as appropriate

Has relationship with vendors and communicates support needed

Communicates with customers about market changes/conditions

Professionally manages upset or disgruntled customers

Informs receiver on status of cancelled special orders or materials to be returned to suppliers

Brings areas of concern to management's attention

Qualifications

Knowledge of building materials and or experience in construction industry (a must)

Strong communication skills both through phone and email

Ability to speak, write, and read English required

Proven ability to develop relationships

Must be able to operate personal computer, smartphone, scanner, and any other equipment necessary for the job

Ten-key by touch required

Must be able to type 40+ WPM

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Ability to execute PARR selling strategies and initiatives

Ability to achieve sales goals and objectives

Knowledge of PARR selling principles, practices, and protocols

Willingness to share department responsibilities in order to meet deadlines

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Interpersonal Skills

Ability to work cordially, professionally, diplomatically and with a high level of customer service in a dynamic environment

Demonstrate sound judgment in dealing with sensitive business matters with internal and external customers of all types

Must maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all information related to company finances and records, particularly, cost of goods purchased and sold

Ability and willingness to identify processes, tools and/or procedures that may be improved upon in an effort to improve the workplace and outcomes for our customers

Ability to communicate with all levels of management and employees at a high skill level and speak effectively in front of groups. Communication can include, but is not limited to: in-person (verbal and non‑verbal), written, e‑mail, telephone, and public speaking to medium size groups

Strong focus, planning, organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage changing priorities, handle multiple projects, and do what is necessary to meet deadlines, while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time

Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds and carry objects 50 feet
