About Us
The Crowd Management team at Hayden Homes Amphitheater works to create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for guests, artists, tour staff, and venue employees. While this role includes safety and security responsibilities, the work is rooted in human connection and care.
Crowd Management team members lead with kindness, compassion, and positivity, even in stressful or high-pressure situations. The team works collaboratively across departments and alongside emergency responders to implement best practices, policies, and procedures that support a world-class live event experience.
Job Overview
As a Crowd Management Team Member, you will be stationed throughout the venue to monitor crowd movement, guest behavior, and controlled access areas. Assignments may include venue gates, road closures, barricades, secure areas, perimeter monitoring, or high-density crowd zones.
Your primary responsibility is to help maintain a safe environment by observing conditions, identifying potential issues early, and responding appropriately. This includes giving clear directions, assisting guests, supporting access, and using verbal de-escalation techniques when situations become tense.
Crowd Management team members do not lead with enforcement. Instead, they lead with presence, communication, and awareness, escalating concerns through proper channels when necessary. This role requires continuous focus, frequent radio communication, and close coordination with other Crowd Management staff, venue operations, guest services, law enforcement, fire, and EMS.
Values in Practice
Crowd Management at Hayden Homes Amphitheater is guided by three core values:
Kindness

- Treating every guest and coworker with respect, patience, and dignity

What to Expect Working Here

It is essential that all employees at Hayden Homes Amphitheater understand and agree to the environment in which we work. We are an outdoor, seasonal concert venue, and our team regularly works in a wide range of conditions including extreme heat and cold, rain, smoke, snow, wind, full sun, nighttime darkness, and the presence of wildlife such as insects and other animals. These elements are a normal part of our workplace. We provide a uniform, but employees are responsible for dressing appropriately for comfort and safety in all conditions. While our workplace happens to host concerts, this role is a job first, and employees are expected to remain focused on their responsibilities and may have little opportunity to experience performances. If you strongly prefer indoor work environments or are primarily seeking access to shows, this role is not the right fit. Employment with Hayden Homes Amphitheater is seasonal and concludes at the end of each concert season. Due to the dynamic nature of the live events industry, roles, schedules, pay, responsibilities, and supervisors may change from season to season and are not guaranteed upon venue reopening. At Hayden Homes Amphitheater, we believe great shows come from great people. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status. Everyone deserves a chance to be part of the show.
