Position
We are looking for a TALENT ENGAGEMENT MANAGER who will champion our culture, our people and our award-winning architectural and design services. Based at our Pleasanton, CA headquarters, you will recruit for current needs across multiple offices and help build the recruiting pipeline for our future. You will be a critical voice as we grow the firm and improve our recruiting process, ensuring activities are organized and efficient to maintain an excellent candidate experience and a clear process for staff. Under the guidance of the Chief People Officer, you will collaborate with others across the firm to drive talent acquisition and support talent-related initiatives and activities to cover the entire People/Talent lifecycle. The candidate should be tech-savvy, highly organized, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with staff and leaders to understand our culture, projects, talent, and staffing needs. Utilize that knowledge in recruiting additional team members and staff development/retention.
- Source and recruit candidates by using recruiting tools such as LinkedIn, Indeed, passive resume databases/job portals, social media, professional association networks, etc.
- Act as a positive point of contact and brand ambassador, promoting the company’s reputation as “best place to work.”
- Manage a full life-cycle recruitment process, from research and sourcing through the offer and acceptance, with both active and passive candidates.
- Post and track open positions/requisitions on the company website and various sourcing outlets, including social media, in accordance with branding guidelines and established budget.
- Manage the logistics of candidate assessment, candidate presentation, scheduling interviews, feedback follow-ups, and reference checks, and ensure all information is accurately entered into the ATS.
- Advise team members on competitive research and market trends while offering strategic solutions for recruitment during changing business trends.
- Provide weekly recruiting updates and analytical, well-documented recruiting reports using standard recruiting metrics.
- Manage external recruiters and placement agency contacts and budgets; track all externally recruited candidates and incorporate into ATS.
- Manage university/college recruiting program.
- Develop and update job postings and job descriptions in collaboration with leadership.
- Be available Monday–Friday from 8am–5pm; collaborate with staff across the firm to contribute to a positive and productive work environment. This position is eligible for hybrid work after a period of on-site orientation.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong, demonstrated digital media skills (search engines, software and social media) REQUIRED
- Sense of urgency, initiative and positive energy; comfortable connecting with all levels of employees regularly
- Excellent attention to detail and demonstrable accuracy, with excellent organization and follow-up skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to build effective partnerships with hiring managers
- Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision, while also working collaboratively with team and within established protocols
- Proficient with Word, Excel & Outlook
- Working knowledge of employment laws and compliance requirements as they relate to recruiting and hiring preferred
Minimum Experience, Education & Certifications
- 5+ years’ proven work experience as a Recruiter (either in-house or staffing agency) REQUIRED; OR equivalent experience as a tech-savvy Marketing Coordinator in an A/E/C firm
- Hands-on experience with recruiting/sourcing solutions (LinkedIn Recruiter), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and social media campaigns REQUIRED
- 3+ years' experience managing a team
- Experience in A/E/C firms strongly preferred
- Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States without any restrictions or visa sponsorship
- Note: This is NOT an entry-level or remote position.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage. We also offer the opportunity to participate in pre-tax Flexible Spending plans for medical, childcare, and commuter expenses, an Employee Stock Ownership Plan, and a 401(k).
Salary Range and Equity
Salary range: $90,000 – $115,000 depending on qualifications. Placement within this pay range will be determined by education, qualifications, project complexity and/or experience. We consider pay equity and internal equity as part of any final offer.
