We are seeking a highly motivated Director to join our growing team. Based on the West Coast and working closely with our New York headquarters, this role will be primarily focused on originating and developing new corporate client opportunities across the West Coast market, while also supporting investor outreach efforts with institutional fund complexes and family offices.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and actively manage a pipeline of prospective corporate clients headquartered across the West Coast and other key Western U.S. markets, including the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, Seattle, San Diego, Portland, Denver, Salt Lake City, and Austin, with a particular focus on the technology sector.
- Originate new business opportunities through existing networks, targeted outreach, and industry engagement.
- Build and maintain relationships with senior executives, including CEOs, CFOs, and Heads of Investor Relations.
- Contribute to pitch strategy, materials, and conversion of opportunities into mandates.
- Represent Rose & Company in the market, including conferences, roadshows, and industry events.
- Maintain visibility into pipeline activity, tracking progress and conversion across opportunities.
- Support non-deal roadshows on the West Coast for Rose & Company clients.
- Provide client coverage and relationship management.
The qualified candidate must be self-motivated, have a proven ability to efficiently multi-task and have experience interfacing directly with senior executives. The candidate must also be articulate and possess strong communications skills to succeed in an important client-facing role.
Additional specific qualifications include:
- 8–10+ years of experience in a commercially oriented, client-facing role such as corporate access, research, institutional equity sales, investment banking, or investor relations.
- Demonstrated ability to originate opportunities and build senior relationships across listed companies.
- Strong understanding of capital markets and investor dynamics.
- Prior coverage or sales experience within TMT sector.
- Established relationships across the buy-side; established relationships with West Coast technology-focused investors strongly preferred
- Highly credible communicator with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
- Self-starter with a proactive, relationship-driven approach to business development.
- Strong judgment and professionalism in working with senior executives and representing the firm externally.
- Excellent organizational skills, including comfort owning processes, timelines, and cross-team coordination to deliver client outcomes.
