Senior Technical Writer

on a

1099 independentcontracto r basis to strengthen our technical and customerfacing documentation. This role will produce clear, accurate content that simplifies complex product and solution details for postsale users while ensuring consistency across all materials. The contractor will work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Product Marketing, and customerfacing teams, and will support key knowledgemanagement and enablement initiatives across the organization.

Location:

Washington, DC metro area with ability to visit our Herndon, VA office.

Description of Services / Scope of Work

Services to be Provided:

Contractor will be responsible for creating and maintaining a variety of technical and customer-facing materials. Key responsibilities include:
Documentation & Content Development
Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation (user guide content: tasks, concepts, referential topics).
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and accurate language tailored to a post-sale audience.
Develop consistent document templates and style guides for internal use.

Collaboration & Research

Partner with Product Managers, Product Marketing Manager, Engineers, and customer-facing teams to gather accurate technical and business context.
Participate in product and solution reviews to ensure documentation reflects latest updates and compliance requirements.

Knowledge Management & Enablement

Improve and manage centralized repository of product documentation for company-wide access and version control.
Assist as available the development of technical documents for other teams and efforts.
Support enablement initiatives that bridge technical understanding with capture and go-to-market strategy.
