About Icon Global Media
Icon Global Media (“Icon”) is a media company and creative studio built to power the world’s most impactful brands, talent, and intellectual property.
We operate at the intersection of culture, sports, and storytelling, delivering full-scale services across six divisions: Creative Studio, YouTube, Social Media, Design, Brand Management, and Marketing.
We work with high-level clients including top athletes, global brands, and professional sporting associations. We bring together creative strategy, world-class production, and deep expertise in digital media, brand strategy, and marketing, all under one roof.
Our mission is simple: build iconic brands for the digital era.
The Role
The Social Creative Strategist is responsible for developing social strategy, content ideas, creative concepts, and repeatable formats for Icon’s talent, brand, and sports clients.
This role sits at the center of Icon’s Social Media division. From major talent like Bryson DeChambeau to global brands like Reebok, you will help define how Icon partners show up across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, X, Facebook, Snapchat, and emerging platforms.
This is not a passive strategy role. We are looking for someone who lives and breathes social media, understands what works, knows what does not, and can turn culture, platform behavior, analytics, and client goals into content ideas that perform.
At Icon, everything starts with the idea. A great idea shot on an iPhone can reach millions. A bad idea with a massive budget can go nowhere. Your job is to find, shape, pressure-test, and develop ideas that give our clients the best chance to achieve their goals.
You will lead ideation, develop content buckets, create short-form series, write briefs, build hooks, outline scripts, storyboard concepts, analyze performance, and guide content creatives, editors, and producers so ideas are clear before they are shot or edited.
The right person is both highly creative and analytical. You are obsessed with social content, culture, performance, and growth. You do not just chase trends. You understand why something works, how to adapt it for a specific talent or brand, and when to create something original instead.
What You’ll Do
Social Strategy & Creative Development
Develop social strategies for talent, athletes, creators, brands, and sports franchises
Build content buckets, campaign ideas, and platform-specific strategies that align with each client’s brand image, audience, goals, personality, and platform needs
Translate client objectives into social-first concepts that feel native, timely, and culturally relevant
Define how each client should show up across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, X, Facebook, Snapchat, and emerging platforms
Ideation & Concept Development
Lead ideation for social-first content across client accounts, campaigns, shoots, and real-time opportunities
Develop original ideas, trend adaptations, hooks, scripts, and short-form structures
Identify strong ideas from weak ones and refine concepts until they are clear, unique, and executable
Build repeatable formats and series, not just one-off posts
Trend, Culture & Platform Insight
Stay obsessively current on social trends, platform shifts, creator formats, sports culture, internet culture, and viral mechanics
Identify trends early and determine how to adapt them for specific clients without forcing them
Study high-performing creators, brands, athletes, teams, and cultural accounts to understand what is working and why
Understand the difference between copying a trend, adapting a trend, and creating a trend
Briefing, Scripting & Creative Direction
Write clear content briefs that give content creatives, editors, producers, clients, and brand partners what they need to understand and execute the concept
Develop hooks, captions, on-screen text, scripts, talking points, and short-form structures
Storyboard concepts to clarify the creative vision, video flow, story beats, and production needs before shoots
Guide the creative intent through production and post-production so the final output matches the strategy and standard
Analytics & Performance
Study social analytics, post performance, audience behavior, engagement patterns, and account growth across client platforms
Use performance data to understand what worked, what did not, and what should be tested next
Create performance reports, key takeaways, and insights that lead to better content decisions
Brand, Client & Team Collaboration
Collaborate with the Director of Social Media, content creatives, editors, producers, designers, and account leads to improve client output
Understand each client’s voice, brand guidelines, business goals, partnerships, and creative boundaries
Develop ideas for branded content and social integrations that feel natural, effective, and on-brand
Who We’re Looking For
This role is for someone who is deeply obsessed with social media, culture, and what makes content work.
You know what is trending, but more importantly, you understand why it is trending. You can look at a video, account, format or hook, and explain why it worked or why it missed.
You are an idea person, but you are not careless with ideas. You understand that the first idea usually is not the right idea. You are willing to think, iterate, workshop, pressure-test, and refine until the concept is strong enough to execute.
You are strategic, but not slow. Social moves fast, and you know how to balance thoughtful creative development with the speed required to capitalize on moments before they disappear.
You are creatively confident, but not married to your own ideas. At Icon, the best idea always wins, no matter who it comes from.
You are numbers-obsessed. You want accounts to grow, videos to perform, and clients to win. You care about the creative, but you also care about the outcome.
Most importantly, you understand that on social media, the idea is everything. Great social content starts with a great concept.

Experience developing social strategies and content ideas for brands, talent, creators, athletes, or teams

Experience creating content briefs, hooks, scripts, captions, on-screen text, or short-form video structures
Experience using social analytics and performance data to improve content strategy and creative direction
Experience working with creative teams, editors, producers, designers, or content creators to bring ideas to life
Required Skills
Deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, X, Facebook, Snapchat, and how content strategy differs across platforms

Experience working with athletes, creators, celebrities, sports franchises, or high-profile public figures
Experience developing branded content ideas and social integrations for talent or brand partners
Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro or short-form editing workflows
Experience with YouTube Studio, TikTok analytics, Instagram insights, Meta Business Suite, or other social analytics tools
