Position: Social Creative Strategist

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Job Id: 376

# of Openings: 1

What You'll Do

Lead social-first creative, rooted in culture, audience behavior, and where the feed is going

Write, edit, and package the work itself: hooks, scripts, captions, short-form video ideas, content series, storyboards, briefs

Guide social video: openings, text overlays, audio, editing style, and the details that make content feel native to the platform

Connect creative to strategy. Partner with Social, Strategy, Media, PR, and Account so ideas ladder up to the business and the audience, not just the feed

Use AI to explore angles, version quickly, and speed early thinking, without outsourcing the taste

Read how the work performs across paid and organic, from thumbstop and watch-through to saves, shares, and comment sentiment, and use those signals to steer the creative

Build modular content systems that version quickly and stay ahead of fatigue, so paid creative keeps working and the organic feed stays fresh

Review the team's social creative and give feedback that’s specific and moves the work forward

Identify timely openings, the moments a brand can credibly participate in

Stay close to platform updates, format shifts, creator behavior, and competitor work, and bring that thinking back to the team

Coach Social, Creative, and other partners on how social behaves and what stronger execution looks like

Bring a social creative POV to new business and organic growth

Perform other duties as assigned to meet the changing needs of the agency

What We're Looking For

4+ years in social, content, or creative strategy, with a body of social-first work. Agency experience preferred

A portfolio that shows social-first thinking across platforms and formats

Deep understanding of how platforms behave: Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Reddit, Facebook, YouTube Shorts

Range across the making: concepts, content series, short-form video, creator executions, captions, scripts

Experience briefing and developing work with creators, keeping it authentic while it still delivers

Hands‑on with the tools: CapCut, Edits, Canva, VEED, Premiere, Adobe Express, or similar

Strong command of hooks, short‑form pacing, captions, text overlays, audio, transitions, and editing styles

Comfortable reading social performance on both the paid and organic side, and turning it into creative direction

AI fluency, and a point of view on where the craft is going

Feedback that’s clear, useful, and moves the work forward

Comfort moving between strategy and output, from creative direction to hands‑on content development

Low ego, high standards, open mind

Willingness to travel as required
