Duties & Responsibilities
Part‑time staff reports to the Director of Library and is advised by the Coordinator of AV Services. The role requires flexibility, willingness to be trained, and the ability to remain mindful of multiple perspectives while working in closed spaces for extended periods. The position may involve occasional movement across campus.

Facilitate video conferencing by setting up, using, controlling, and participating in NCIH classroom sessions.

Operate video‑conferencing equipment and other hardware associated with distance‑education classroom sites.

Assist with pre‑session activities, on‑air responsibilities, and after‑session debriefing for video operations.

Provide necessary records and information to troubleshoot technical problems.

Maintain a stationary position, sitting or standing, for extended periods of time.

Occasionally traverse the NCIH control room and/or classrooms to provide instructional support.

Occasionally lift, move, transport, install, or remove items weighing up to 30 pounds.

Maintain regular on‑site attendance for operation of NCIH equipment.

Initiate and answer telephone calls and video conference calls.

Follow instructions and stay focused on tasks.

Cross‑train in library as needed depending on NCIH scheduling.

Fulfill other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma.

Ability to multi‑task and work in a small space.

Some office work experience.

Ability to interact professionally with faculty, staff, students, and community.

Excellent interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.

Willingness to be coached in NCIH or other video‑conferencing platforms.

Excellent technology skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate Degree.

1–2 years experience in camera/AV work.

Classroom familiarity.

Terms of Employment
Full‑time/Part‑time (10‑month term, up to 25 hours per week). Estimated hours per week: 18–25 campus hours.
