About the Creative Team
You'll be part of a tight-knit team of creative individuals who work collaboratively to support both our customers and internal teams. As our Creative Production Designer, you'll report directly to the Creative Director while working closely with our Senior Creative Specialist, a variety of internal teams, external partners, and customers. You will be the primary creative supporter of our Customer Service team's retail customers. Our team is full of passionate, like-minded people who value creativity, collaboration, and growth. We pride ourselves on being resourceful problem-solvers who balance a keen eye for design with a commitment to efficiency and sustainability. You'll have the opportunity to develop new skills, contribute to impactful projects, and be part of a group that truly values the work we do and the positive change we create.
Position Overview
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Creative Production Specialist to join our creative team. This is a full-time, salary-based role offering a hybrid work arrangement. You will serve as the primary creative resource for our website customers and a select group of high-volume accounts, supporting them through the full design lifecycle, from initial concept and structural design to color matching, proofing, and print-ready file production. This role is perfect for someone with a foundational background in design who is eager to grow, thinks both creatively and analytically, and has a genuine passion for bringing physical products to life.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Proofing:
Handle proofing tasks for website and high-volume customers, reviewing and editing designs for accuracy and consistency before production sign-off.
Packaging Design & Pre-Production:
Use Adobe Illustrator to prepare and set up print-ready files for our production team, ensuring accuracy, structural integrity, and production-readiness across a variety of packaging formats.
Color Matching & Press Proofing:
Support the color matching and press proofing process to ensure final printed products meet both customer expectations and our quality standards.
Enterprise Customer Interaction:
Engage directly with high-volume enterprise customers to understand their design needs, communicate project timelines and expectations, provide clear guidance, and deliver friendly, efficient creative support throughout the production process.
External Partner Coordination:
Communicate and coordinate with external print partners and vendors to track orders, relay specifications, and ensure smooth production handoffs.
Creative Resource Development:
Build and maintain creative resources, including templates, guides, and reference materials, for use by internal teams, production partners, and customers.
Sample Management:
Organize and manage outrun samples on a regular basis, ensuring they are properly filed and accessible for teams to access.
Internal Creative Projects:
Contribute to in-house design projects including team collateral, business cards, headshots, stock artwork, and other creative initiatives that support the EcoEnclose brand.
Please note that this role does not involve creating packaging designs from scratch for customers. The day-to-day focus is on refining, correcting, and preparing customer-supplied artwork for print production. That said, there are meaningful opportunities for original graphic design work within this role, including creating stock artwork, internal brand collateral, and other creative assets that support the EcoEnclose team and brand.
