About The Role
To provide specialized support and consultation for students with complex communication needs across the ISD and its constituent districts. This role focuses on evaluating, implementing, and supporting augmentative and alternative communication systems to ensure students can communicate effectively and reach their full potential.

Qualifications Desired

Valid Michigan teaching certificate with special education approval or valid License via LARA as a Speech and Language Pathologist

Demonstrated expertise in AAC evaluation, device selection, and implementation strategies

Ability to program for and motivate students to develop to their fullest potential in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains

Interpersonal skills which promote positive personal relationships with students, parents, staff and community is required

Willingness to be placed throughout the county and travel to various districts as assigned
