Outside Sales Representative

Abacus is looking to hire an Outside Sales Representative in the DMV area. We are looking for a proactive leader who has a demonstrated record of delivering on defined goals and objectives while growing the above market.
The sales position comes with an established book of business. The candidate needs to have an insured vehicle for daily use, basic knowledge of the Northern Virginia / DC / Baltimore market and experience with B-to-B sales. You will be responsible for seeing customers on a daily basis, problem solving skills, able to communicate in a business-like fashion (bilingual is preferred but not required) and basic computer skills.
Primary/ Essential Duties, Roles and Responsibilities:

Presents themselves in a professional and businesslike manner to all
Serves as a role model when coaching others on professional conduct and complex, customer related issues
The position will require research and development of new business through cold calling, networking and referrals on a daily basis
Able to gain product knowledge quickly and efficiently
Comfortable presenting new products and solutions to customers and prospects on a daily basis
Develop a consultative relationship with the client to be a resource for their strategic needs
Attend sales meetings, product shows, industry expositions and other business events as assigned or authorized by Sales Management
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

Strong leadership and time management skills
At least 2 years of successful sales experience.
Understanding and commitment to structured safety management system.
Ability to effectively prioritize and delegate work in a fast-paced environment
Effective time management, organization, and multi-tasking skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability with people & task management
Associates Degree, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Very strong communication skills: Must be able to demonstrate sourcing, presenting, negotiating, and closing skills in front of individuals or groups.
