Job Description
We have an exciting long‑term contract opportunity for a Financial Analyst with a state agency here in Austin. This role will use multiple tools and data sources in the financial analysis and forecasting of IT Project Portfolio.

Responsibilities

Review project demands and resource allocation plans for managed service providers as well as internal TxDOT staff.

Prepare funds transfers and monitor federal funding reimbursements for eligible IT purchases.

Review IT purchase requests and monitor the daily activity related to operating and capital expenses.

Participate in the monthly reconciliation of TxDOT’s IT budget, encumbrances, and expenses.

Minimum Requirements

5+ years of experience in financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build, etc.

5+ years of experience analyzing Financial Management Systems / Processes

5+ years of experience budgeting methods and procedures

5+ years of experience communicating and maintaining effective working relationships with others

5+ years of experience preparing and maintaining confidential and sensitive records, files, and reports
