Addison Group is partnering with a well-established nonprofit healthcare organization seeking a part-time Marketing & Communications Specialist to support digital marketing initiatives, educational content promotion, and audience engagement efforts. This role will contribute to the execution of integrated campaigns across email, web, social media, and multimedia channels while supporting a mission-driven organization focused on professional education and research.
Job Description
The Marketing & Communications Specialist will assist with the development and coordination of marketing campaigns that promote digital publications, podcasts, webinars, and educational resources. This role requires a detail-oriented marketing professional with strong communication skills, creative capabilities, and experience supporting cross-functional campaigns in fast-paced environments. The ideal candidate is comfortable balancing content creation, campaign execution, analytics reporting, and project coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Write and edit marketing content for digital channels including email campaigns, websites, newsletters, and social media platforms while maintaining a cohesive brand voice
Support the creation of campaign messaging, promotional copy, and marketing materials tied to publications, educational programs, podcasts, and digital initiatives
Collaborate with creative teams and external partners to develop digital graphics, visual assets, advertisements, and promotional materials
Design and modify marketing visuals using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva, including social graphics, infographics, banners, and branded assets
Maintain editorial and promotional calendars to ensure campaigns and deliverables remain organized and on track
Coordinate timelines and deployment schedules surrounding webinars, product launches, podcasts, conferences, and related initiatives
Assist with email marketing efforts including campaign scheduling, audience segmentation, testing, and optimization
Monitor campaign analytics and engagement metrics using reporting tools and marketing dashboards
Prepare summaries and performance reports highlighting audience engagement, campaign effectiveness, and growth opportunities
Identify opportunities to improve messaging, creative strategy, and campaign targeting based on marketing insights and analytics
Partner with internal teams to execute integrated marketing initiatives supporting brand awareness and audience engagement goals
Organize and maintain marketing assets, templates, and creative resources for team accessibility and consistency
Provide proofreading, quality assurance, and project coordination support to ensure marketing materials meet established standards and deadlines
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field preferred
3–5 years of experience in marketing, communications, digital content, or campaign coordination
Background supporting marketing initiatives within healthcare, publishing, nonprofit, association, or academic environments preferred
Strong written communication, editing, organizational, and multitasking abilities
Experience using marketing automation and email platforms such as HubSpot, Mailchimp, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite applications and Canva
Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools including Google Analytics, Looker Studio, and marketing dashboards
Understanding of SEO, SEM, and digital engagement strategies preferred
Comfortable working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment
Experience using AI-assisted marketing or content creation tools is a plus
Additional Details
Hybrid schedule with preference for onsite attendance two days per week
Flexible start times between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM EST
Weekly Tuesday morning team call required at 7:00 AM EST
Contract opportunity expected to last approximately one year, with potential for extension
