Duties

Set up, operate, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot digital displays, video conferencing systems, and other professional audio visual equipment to support meetings, trainings, and special events.

Assist with installation, operation and maintenance of upgrades for multimedia classrooms.

Assist with functional and operational test to evaluate quality and performance of video and/or audio reception, production and transmission.

Operate video conferencing bridge and Codec.

Assist in the preparation and development of visual media and presentation material in support of the organization's programs.

Provide customers with guidance and assistance.

A background security investigation will be required for all new hires. Appointment will be subject to the applicant's successful completion of a background security investigation and favorable adjudication.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet the qualification requirements contained in the announcement.

Specialized Experience

GS‑1001‑07: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS‑5 level in the Federal service. Examples of specialized experience include assisting with the installation, configuration, and routine maintenance of digital‑display systems, TCP/IP‑based audiovisual equipment, multimedia classroom technologies, functional and operational testing to evaluate performance and quality of video and audio reception, production, and transmission, and providing support in the preparation, development or production of visual media products and presentation materials used in organizational programs.

OR 1 full year of graduate‑level education directly related to the work of the position.

OR a bachelor’s degree and eligibility under the federal qualifications requirements (details provided in the announcement).

Combination of Education and Experience
Education and experience may be combined. The total percentage of experience required plus the percentage of education required must equal at least 100 % to qualify for the grade level.

Education Requirements
This position does not have a positive education requirement at this grade level. Transcripts are required only when education is used to meet the minimum qualification requirement.
