Director - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - Las Cruces, New Mexico

A leading healthcare provider in southern New Mexico is seeking a seasoned and dynamic Director to lead their Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This individual will be responsible for operational and clinical leadership within the ICU, including team management, policy development, budget oversight, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience in acute care, with a focus on quality improvement and team development.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic and operational leadership for the ICU

Develop and implement clinical protocols and departmental policies

Maintain budget accountability and drive productivity

Ensure ongoing compliance with accreditation standards

Lead and mentor ICU nursing staff with a focus on professional development and quality care

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and facilitate strong provider relationships

Requirements
Required:

Active or eligible New Mexico RN license

Bachelor's degree in Nursing

7+ years of healthcare experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role

BLS and ACLS certifications

Demonstrated experience with budgeting, team building, and quality initiatives

Preferred:

MSN, MBA, or degree in Healthcare Administration

Experience in a for-profit hospital setting

Background in facilitating provider collaboration
