Private Equity Strategic Account Executive

CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, our professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week.

YOUR ROLE
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
The Private Equity Strategic Account Executive – Director is accountable for long‑term revenue expansion, account profitability, and strategic relevance within the practice. The role requires strong executive presence, deep commercial judgment, and the ability to influence outcomes within complex client environments.
Lead a defined portfolio of existing private equity enterprise client relationships
Own and execute multi‑year strategic account plans aligned to client priorities, ownership structure, and market dynamics
Drive cross‑service expansion across audit, tax, and advisory in support of value creation, liquidity events, and portfolio optimization
Build and maintain deep C‑suite and board level executive relationships
Serve as the quarterback for internal account teams, aligning firm resources to account‑specific growth objectives
Lead executive business reviews with clients and internal leadership
Identify whitespace opportunities and proactively architect expansion pathways
Ensure strong pipeline discipline, forecasting accuracy, and CRM hygiene
Develop templates, playbooks, and best practices to scale strategic account execution
Represent the firm as a senior, trusted advisor within key client relationships
Performance Accountability
Full accountability for revenue growth across the defined strategic account portfolio
Success measured by year‑over‑year account growth, service‑line diversification, and profitability
Pipeline expectations aligned to strategic account expansion plans
Required history of consistently achieving or exceeding account growth objectives
Client sponsor and deal team satisfaction/retention indicators
YOUR EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will have:
13+ years of experience in sales, client leadership, or professional services roles
Experience serving private equity clients, at the fund and portfolio company level
Proven success managing and expanding complex enterprise client relationships
Demonstrated ability to drive cross‑service expansion and long‑term value creation
Executive presence with the ability to influence C‑suite and board‑level stakeholders
Strong commercial, financial, and negotiation acumen
Experience leading multi‑disciplinary account teams
Expert‑level proficiency with CRM systems, account planning, and forecasting
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced or industry‑specific education preferred
Tools & Systems you will use
CRM platforms (Dynamics or Salesforce)
Sales intelligence and research tools (e.g., SalesIntel, Introhive, Bombora, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
Power BI dashboards (advanced usage for forecasting and account performance)
Compensation (California)
In California, the salary range for a Sales Director is $200,000 to $300,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. Salary is one component of the CohnReznick total rewards package, which includes a discretionary performance bonus, generous paid time off, expanded and inclusive parental benefits, to name a few.
