Summary
We are seeking an Account Executive, Corporate Accounts to join our fast‑growing sales team. The role involves actively engaging prospective new clients via phone and web conference to introduce Smarsh products and value proposition. The candidate will work with a broad range of mobile (AT&T, Verizon), social (LinkedIn, Facebook) and collaboration (Slack, Microsoft) partners to deliver governance and compliance solutions for companies in highly regulated industries.

How will you contribute?

Actively engage prospective new clients via phone and web conference to introduce Smarsh products and value proposition.

Conduct high‑volume prospecting activities and lead generation within your assigned territory to identify new potential Smarsh customers in the Corporate Sales segment.

Consistently meet or exceed quarterly booking goals.

Interact with the Management team in 1:1s, team meetings, and via forecasting and reporting to provide high‑quality service.

Maintain an accurate and timely forecast updated throughout the sales cycle.

Maintain accurate system hygiene in Salesforce, keeping opportunity notes up to date.

Establish and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and customers.

Provide industry regulation changes and updates to our client base as implemented.

Effectively use sales tools: Salesforce, LISN, Outreach.io, Zoominfo, and others to prospect.

Maintain coverage of accounts in territory, as defined by the Sales Excellence Framework.

Manage time effectively to hit quota, KPIs, and continue education in sales skills or product knowledge.

Focus on corporate sales accounts with 51–1,000 employees or as determined by management.

What will you bring?

Ability to multi‑task and manage a large pipeline.

Knowledge of financial markets and/or hosted technology services is highly advantageous.

Professional oral and written communication skills.

Strong organizational skills.

Detail oriented.

Ability to effectively work across multiple departments.

Quickly overcome objections.

Very proficient in Salesforce.com.

2–3 years prior SaaS or software sales experience.

Track record of sustained success/over‑achievement in a sales role.

Experience managing the entire sales cycle, from prospecting through negotiation and closing.

Excellent customer service and telephone manner.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Familiar or working knowledge of Salesforce.com.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

$70,000 – $90,000 a year

The above salary range represents Smarsh's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting. Any applicable bonus programs will be discussed during the recruiting process.

The salary for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, location, specialty and training.

Local cost of living assessments are done for each new hire at the time of offer.
