Spur Jewelry is hiring a full-time Client Consultant to join our team in person at our NYC headquarters.
We're a team of 17 jewelry lovers, jewelers, and designers working from our headquarters in Flatiron, NYC.
This role is ideal for someone who deeply loves jewelry, understands how fine jewelry is made, and can guide clients through a thoughtful, highly personal custom design experience. You’ll work closely with clients, designers, and our in-house production team to help transform vintage, sentimental, and heirloom materials into beautiful new pieces.
This is a full-time, in-person role with meaningful opportunity to grow within the company.
As a member of our client team, you’ll be a key part of the client experience at Spur. You will conduct organized and professional consultation calls, write beautiful proposals, correspond with clients throughout their projects, and communicate closely with our design and production teams.
This role requires excellent judgment, strong written communication, jewelry knowledge, emotional intelligence, and an ability to manage many details at once. Our clients often come to us with deeply sentimental materials, so nuance and context are essential.
- Conduct professional, thoughtful, and organized consultation phone calls with clients each week.
- Guide clients through the custom jewelry design process with confidence, warmth, and clarity.
- Compose beautiful, detailed proposals that clearly communicate design direction, pricing, and next steps.
- Correspond with clients throughout their projects, keeping communication organized, polished, and timely.
- Communicate closely with our in-house design and production teams throughout each client’s jewelry process.
- Handle complex client requests and problem-solve with care and good judgment.
- Keep client and project information organized across internal systems.
- Learn and use company apps, tools, and data systems with accuracy and consistency.
- A deep love and respect for vintage, sentimental, and heirloom jewelry.
- Excellent knowledge of fine jewelry, including common setting styles, metals typically used in fine jewelry, gemstone shapes and cuts, and major historical periods of jewelry design, such as Victorian, Art Deco, and Edwardian.
- Experience with jewelry production and a strong understanding of how jewelry is made.
- Excellent written communication skills in English, with the ability to compose clear, confident, polished client-facing communication without assistive technology.
- Strong organizational skills and careful attention to detail.
- Comfort handling complex, nuanced information and making thoughtful decisions.
- Comfort learning new apps and working with data.
- A strong appreciation for context, sentiment, and the personal stories behind jewelry.
- Ability to work full-time in person at our NYC headquarters.
You are thoughtful, detail-oriented, and deeply interested in jewelry. You understand that custom jewelry is both technical and emotional. You enjoy working with clients, but you are also comfortable managing details behind the scenes. You can move between creative conversations, production realities, and polished written communication with confidence.
You care about getting things right, especially when the materials are meaningful. You notice the little things. You have genuine enthusiasm for beautiful jewelry.
This is a full-time, in-person role based at Spur Jewelry’s NYC headquarters, with the opportunity for a hybrid schedule.
Spur is a growing company, and this role offers the opportunity to develop within the business over time. For the right person, there is room to deepen expertise across custom design, client experience, production, and sales leadership.
