The Director of New Business Development is a seasoned deal‑maker who aligns with client needs and addresses business challenges through a combination of niche solutions and the full range of Accenture services. This role involves managing the entire sales process from pursuit to closure, leveraging expertise in sales strategies and offerings while establishing relationships with key stakeholders in both new and existing client accounts to drive business growth.

As part of an energetic and innovative global team, individuals in this position will collaborate with fellow sales professionals, Industry Client Account Leads, and Account Executives to identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Originate, shape, and finalize sales opportunities across various portfolios.

Proactively establish and nurture client relationships, guiding them through qualification, solution crafting, negotiation, and closure.

Articulate a compelling value proposition tailored to the client’s business objectives.

Create a visionary deal outcome through active listening, storytelling, and immersive client experiences.

Commercially shape multi-disciplinary transactions.

Influence the client’s selection process and evaluation criteria effectively.

Support and lead business negotiations.

Provide guidance and discipline to the sales process, advising deal teams on developing successful strategies and conducting debriefs.

Collaborate closely with Sales and Client Account leadership, client teams, and relevant subject matter experts.

Engage leadership within the firm to facilitate the deal approval process.

Identify and analyze complex issues within your area of responsibility, providing solutions when deep organizational knowledge is required.

Potentially supervise or mentor Bid Managers or other sales team members.

Recruit suitable talent for sales opportunities as needed.

Travel as required, potentially up to 100%.

Basic Qualifications

At least 8 years of experience in shaping, negotiating, and closing large deals within the professional services industry.

A minimum of 10 years in Sales Pursuit Management.

At least 4 years of direct sales experience with sales quotas ranging from $5 to $25M+, specifically in agency or consulting environments.

Minimum of 4 years in a digital‑first, data‑driven B2B or B2C global organization.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in new business development or growth roles within agency settings.

Background in selling to the financial services sector.
