General Manager Job Description

At KidStrong, we help parents build stronger, smarter, high‑character kids. The General Manager leads our operations in the San Antonio region, driving sales, memberships, and day‑to‑day center performance.

What We Expect

  • Provide leadership, daily sales, and member relations at the center.
  • Lead the sales function with a lead generation and marketing strategy to increase sales and engage members and parents.

  • Flexible and adaptable to shift hours; support the center’s optimal operation.

General Manager Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent leadership to create a positive, successful environment for staff and clients.
  • Manage and exceed all KidStrong sales and operational budgets.
  • Oversee the sales process and systems.
  • Work closely with the Head Coach to ensure staff and center are supported.
  • Build and maintain class size through scheduling optimization.
  • Model center activities through self‑involvement.
  • Communicate with coaches regarding trials and prospective member details.
  • Respond timely to corporate/owner and client lead requests.
  • Maintain and update social media daily per brand rules.
  • Enforce corporate policies, business practices, systems, and processes.
  • Ensure front‑desk systems are followed, including member check‑in, phone inquiries, guest registration, cash handling, delinquent account procedures, customer care calls, and change requests.
  • Coach a minimum of 4 KidStrong classes weekly as needed.
  • Deliver highest level of customer service and effective decision making.
  • Ensure facility cleanliness, maintenance, and operational soundness.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business, education, or related field.
  • Minimum 2‑3 years of management experience with oversight of all aspects of company management.
  • Minimum 2‑3 years of sales experience.
  • Flexible schedule, including full Saturdays.
  • Promotion‑oriented; able to schedule trials through required vetting.
  • Understanding of performance metrics (KPIs), revenue, inventory, payroll, cost controls and facilities maintenance.
  • Strong multitasking and self‑starter abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ambitious spirit with participative leadership style and drive for excellence.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and professional demeanor.
  • Practical experience with Google Workspace products.
  • Previous management experience in children’s or fitness industry preferred.

  • Phone stamina – 20+ hours of calls per week (~300 calls per week)

Compensation

$44,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
