About The Advertising Team
Our advertising team is responsible for the development of Bi-Mart marketing, public relations, and communications strategies to promote, enhance, and protect the brand reputation. This department is also responsible for the integration and implementation of a broad range of marketing and public relations activities relative to the strategic direction and positioning of the business. In addition, the advertising team is responsible for all marketing communications, products, and services, including but not limited to print, broadcast, digital, social, in-store marketing and advertising programs/campaigns, vendor co‑op programs, and special events like corporate vendor shows, golf tournaments, store manager meetings, and other community events.

About The Position
This position will design, build, maintain, and prepare graphics for both print and electronic media. We are looking for someone who can take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them seamlessly into images, layouts, and other designs. We work in a fast‑paced environment, so the ideal graphic designer will be able to hit the ground running. We are an Apple/MAC environment.

An online portfolio is required for consideration.

Aptitude Requirements

AAS degree in graphic design or related field and/or 1-3 years of graphic design experience required

Excellent visual design and layout skills, attention to detail, adaptable, flexible, independent, deadline‑oriented and capable of working in a fast‑paced environment

Knowledge of print production processes, bleeds, resolution requirements, color profiles, and experience preparing press‑ready files

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and related Adobe Creative Suite applications)

Digital marketing skills and email marketing knowledge (Campaign Monitor platform)

Basic HTML knowledge (or willingness to learn)

Must be able to read and write English legibly

Must have cognitive skills, including the ability to analyze, reason, and make decisions

Must have the ability to organize and coordinate multiple tasks with attention to detail, and prioritize deadlines in a high‑volume production environment

Must be able to perform responsibilities reliably and confidently

Must be able to learn and retain new skills and quickly adapt to new technologies

Must have good time management skills and work well within deadlines and schedules

Essential Job Functions

Develops, designs, and produces graphics and layouts for print and digital media

Digital savings guides and 12-16 P&G savings book print ads

Design and layout of weekly email marketing content

Designs digital takeover ads, display ads, and promotional graphics

Website banner ads/graphics

Signage for stores and special events

Social media ads/graphics

Produces basic ad copy

Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials

Plans concept by studying information and materials

Illustrates the concept by designing a rough layout of art and copy

Works comfortably with raw images, which require editing

Detailed photo editing for high‑end image use in all advertisements

Obtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval

Coordinates with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.

Maintains technical knowledge through continuous learning to keep skills and industry knowledge current and applicable

Schedule
The Bi‑Mart corporate office is typically open from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday – Friday. Hours may vary depending on workload and assignment.
