Business Development Manager (BDM)
Responsible for managing and strategically growing Moët Hennessy’s business through influential leadership.

Primary Responsibilities

Accountable for achieving revenue, margin, and gross profit targets as set by the Sales Director.

Communicate local program spending effectiveness to maximize the company's profits and determine ROI on focused initiatives.

Achieve category objectives, key performance indicators, and targets by implementing strategies and tactics while managing customers for sustainable long‑term growth.

Accelerate Moët Hennessy brands faster than the assigned category in allotted accounts.

Visit assigned account universe on a regular basis.

Partner with sales consultants & area managers to inform/educate on programs, tools, and execution within the assigned account universe.

Develop key account relationships and become a trusted advisor.

Identify market trends and developments in product categories, geographic regions, and across the entire account base to become the Category Expert.

Advise customers and influence shelf space and menu placements.

Conduct staff training on focus categories/brands.

Create, coordinate, and attend on‑site promotional functions (e.g., launches, tastings, dinners).

Sell activation at account level, working with agency to execute.

Perform market surveys to document execution.

KPI’s to include, but are not limited to: PODS, Menus, Features, Display, Shelf Ads, education, trade engagement, staff trainings, events, digital engagement.

Provide recaps of market opportunities and successes.

Collaborate with CPWS Trade Development & Moët Hennessy Supplier teams to localize tools for programming, activation, education & execution.

Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

Additional Primary Responsibilities

Conduct and maintain thorough account performance reporting.

Develop and implement account‑specific strategies to meet or exceed revenue and margin goals.

Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Provide market intelligence to sales leadership to refine pipeline and forecast accuracy.

Assist in the development and execution of national marketing plans within the account base.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.

At least 21 years of age.

3–5 years of industry‑related sales experience.

Dependable vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of state registration and insurance, and an acceptable driving record.

Ability to manage and stay within an assigned budget.

Strategic, analytical thought process with strong financial acumen.

Proficiency using Compass, Diver, Excel, and Proof.

Excellent communication, organization, and commercial planning skills.

Preferred Qualifications

One year of demonstrated supervisory experience.

Ability to prioritize multiple projects on time and within budget.

Working knowledge of finance and accounting practices.

Demonstrated success in building and improving relationships with suppliers and buyers across the geographic region.

Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, decision‑making, and quantitative analysis skills.

Strong planning and organizational skills for a fast‑paced environment with multiple priorities.

Excellent customer service skills in all interactions with internal and external customers.

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills for building collaboration across departments.

Physical Demands

Concentrated periods of sitting, typing, and using a computer or mobile device.

Occasional walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping.

Work week often exceeds 40 hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays when required.

Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
