Commercial Lines Sales Manager

We currently have an opportunity for a Commercial Lines Sales Manager to join the team in our Rockville, MD office.
Job Responsibilities:

Sales Manager:
Accountable for meeting established sales goals within assigned team.
Responsible for hiring, firing and overall management of assigned Producers.
Approve or deny sales expenses, donations, and sponsorships for assigned team.
Conduct effective sales meetings with assigned team.
Implement all the HUB International sales best practices and other HO Sales Initiatives at the direction of the Chief Sales Officer (CSO).
Develop a sales plan to achieve the new business and retention revenue goals set by the CSO.
Assure that producers are utilizing and keeping CORE updated with their activities.
Recruit new production staff in assigned territory.
Implement corrective action plans for Producers where needed.
Ensure that the Producers are meeting the internal standards set when working with the service and marketing teams.
Assist Producers with establishing sales techniques to open doors and close deals where needed.
Report findings with recommendations to CSO.
Other as assigned by the CSO.
Production:
Develop and achieve maximum sales volume consistent with individuals and company objectives.
Identify, develop, and qualify new prospects. Qualify and handle leads generated by the company.
Contact prospects to set appointments and gain information on expirations.
Cross-sell lines of business for all the company's profit centers.
Prepare accurate and complete applications on new and renewal business, including narrative describing all operations of the risk. Collaborate on preparation of marketing submissions for new business.
Interface with company support staff and Marketing Department by meeting to review accounts, helping to determine markets to be used, follow-up dates, etc., and to otherwise assist in the timely and efficient processing of business.
Prepare and/or present proposals to prospects and clients. Close sale.
Develop and perpetuate a loyal customer base in relation to geographic and market considerations.
Coordinate ongoing service for existing accounts with Account Manager. Collaborate with Account Manager to design and maintain appropriate insurance programs for existing accounts.
Maintain production reports and attend sales meetings as required.
Assist in collecting money, arranging satisfactory financing, or canceling coverage.
Assume ultimate responsibility for keeping existing accounts. Be primary contact with clients for problems of all sorts, significant coverage concerns, and collections.
Produce and service new commercial accounts and while maintaining and enhancing HUB International New England's image in the assigned trading communities.
Keep informed of changes and trends within the industry for the purpose of anticipating and responding to profit objectives.
Conduct business in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of both the business and earnings implications of the Company.
Other responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in insurance sales, with a current Property & Casualty License or the ability to reinstate upon hire. Proven ability to identify and develop new client relationships, with experience conducting effective sales meetings and managing a productive sales pipeline. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Agency Management System software is a plus. Superior written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Self-motivated team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities. Willing and able to travel locally for client visits.

The expected salary range for this position is $250,000 to $350,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level.
