Job Overview Commercial Lines Sales Manager – Rockville, MD
We are seeking a Sales Manager to motivate, mentor, and manage a team of Producers, ensuring full potential is met or exceeded.
Responsibilities Accountable for meeting established sales goals within assigned team.
Hiring, firing and overall management of assigned Producers.
Approve or deny sales expenses, donations, and sponsorships for assigned team.
Conduct effective sales meetings with assigned team.
Implement HUB International sales best practices and other initiatives.
Develop a sales plan to achieve new business and retention revenue goals set by CSO.
Recruit new production staff in assigned territory.
Implement corrective action plans for Producers where needed.
Assist Producers with establishing sales techniques to open doors and close deals.
Prepare accurate and complete applications on new and renewal business.
Collaborate with Marketing Department on new business submissions.
Coordinate ongoing service for existing accounts.
Maintain production reports and attend sales meetings.
Assume ultimate responsibility for keeping existing accounts and serve as primary contact for client issues.
Other responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications 5+ years of experience in insurance sales.
Current Property & Casualty License or ability to reinstate upon hire.
Proven ability to identify and develop new client relationships.
Experience conducting effective sales meetings and managing a productive sales pipeline.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with Agency Management System software is a plus.
Superior written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Self‑motivated team player with ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
Willing and able to travel locally for client visits.
Compensation The expected salary range for this position is $250,000 to $350,000, which can be influenced by skills, experience, location and scope.
