About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Artist to help support and scale our Unreal Engine–first, real-time production pipeline. This role operates at the intersection of art, engineering, and production, and is critical to building efficient workflows that empower artists and accelerate content creation. The ideal candidate is highly technical, solutions-oriented, and passionate about developing tools, workflows, and systems that improve the overall creative process.
This role will support the development of stylized, high-quality content for kids and family audiences, requiring a strong understanding of real-time production workflows, visual fidelity, and scalable content creation pipelines.
Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and optimize workflows and pipelines for Unreal Engine–based production
Create and maintain shaders and materials within Unreal Engine
Support VFX development and integration using Unreal Engine Niagara
Build tools and utilities that improve artist workflows, iteration speed, and production scalability
Integrate, troubleshoot, and optimize assets for real-time performance in Unreal Engine
Collaborate closely with artists, animators, lighting, and engineering teams to solve technical and pipeline challenges
Support content organization, asset validation, and project-wide optimization efforts
Assist with look development, rendering workflows, and material consistency across projects
Troubleshoot technical issues related to assets, shaders, materials, VFX, and engine integration
Help establish and maintain best practices for Unreal Engine production workflows
Required Qualifications
Strong experience working in Unreal Engine within a real-time production environment
Experience developing shaders and materials in Unreal Engine
Working knowledge of Unreal Engine Niagara and real-time VFX workflows
Experience building tools, utilities, or workflow automation for artists and animators
Strong understanding of asset integration, optimization, and real-time rendering constraints
Familiarity with production pipelines and cross-disciplinary collaboration
Strong understanding of Unreal Engine’s lighting workflows and rendering systems.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills within technical art workflows
Ability to balance visual quality with technical performance requirements
Pluses
Experience working with MetaHuman workflows
Experience with Unreal Engine Groom and hair systems
Understanding of Unreal Engine PCG workflows
Strong Blueprint scripting knowledge
Experience supporting stylized rendering and kids/family-focused content
Familiarity with Control Rig and animation-related workflows
Experience developing scalable pipelines for episodic or cinematic content
Interest in emerging technologies and AI-assisted workflows that improve efficiency and scalability
