About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Account Executive to join our dynamic, growing Insurance team in Whippany, NJ.
Responsibilities

Serve as strategic point of contact for clients.
Manage annual book of business and proactively monitor upcoming expirations.
Identify the risk management needs of clients and prospects; develop and recommend appropriate products and services, and work with clients to identify unmitigated risks and cross‑sell complementary products and services.
Manage a team of 1–5, responsible for training and advancing the careers of its members.
Present custom solutions to clients and prospects in a clear and professional manner and promote American Global’s competitive differentiation in written and verbal presentations.
Represent American Global positively and proactively in meetings, seminars, trade shows, networking events, industry associations, organizations, boards and charities as appropriate.
Prepare, analyze, execute and/or approve critical business documents, including but not limited to:

Client fee agreements
Renewal letter requests
Complete and accurate submissions to underwriters
Coverage quotes
Proposal documents, including executive overview write‑up
Book of business production reports
Premium allocations
Unit stat cards
Experience modification analysis
Account receivable (A/R) reports
Loss picks, collateral reviews and negotiations on loss‑sensitive programs
In‑depth data analyses

Cultivate local underwriting relationships to support company visibility and credibility in the construction insurance marketplace.
Maintain knowledge of carrier underwriting appetites and contacts and recommend appropriate markets for client programs.
Analyze client risk profile and develop marketing strategy with the team and client.
Bind insurance coverages, address binding subjectivities, and convert proposals of insurance to summaries of insurance post‑binding.
Support the team in response to requests for proposals (RFP).
Actively lead account management staff in annual stewardship, pre‑renewal, final renewal delivery, and other significant account management services for assigned client book of business.
Develop relationships with centers of influence, including but not limited to attorney partners, bankers, and CPAs.
Identify key individuals within the client’s organization and build and maintain effective and sustainable relationships.
Effectively delegate tasks and assist team members to balance workloads when needed.
Maintain ongoing communication with clients and industry partners to ensure a high level of customer service.
Maintain insurance license and continuing education requirements.

Proficient in Applied Epic, Microsoft Office suite, and Adobe Pro.
Strong technical property and casualty knowledge, typically 5–7+ years of industry experience.
Ability to drive strategy.

Strong knowledge of competitors to aid in company prospecting efforts.
Proficiency in the sales discovery process (due diligence).
Preferred Qualifications

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Ability to travel as required.
