The Chicago Fire Football Club (Chicago Fire FC) is Chicago’s premier professional soccer club competing in Major League Soccer (MLS). Founded in 1997, the Club began play in 1998 and has won multiple domestic titles, including the MLS Cup 1998 and several U.S. Open Cups.
Position Overview
This role, Specialist, Lifecycle Marketing, will support the Marketing team by executing CRM‑driven email and SMS campaigns to engage, retain and grow the Club’s fanbase. The position reports to the Manager, Lifecycle Marketing.
Job Responsibilities
Lifecycle Campaign Execution
Build, QA and deploy email and SMS campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Attentive.
Support the execution of automated lifecycle journeys, including lead nurture, conversion and retention programs.
Assist in implementing multi‑channel campaigns aligned with Ticketing, Corporate Partnerships and Soccer Business initiatives.
Maintain campaign calendars and ensure timely, accurate delivery of all communications.
Segmentation & List Management
Execute audience segmentation and targeting based on fan data and behavioral triggers.
Own list pulls, suppression management and contact strategy to ensure campaign accuracy.
Collaborate with internal teams to maintain data integrity and proper campaign setup.
Testing & Optimization
Assist in A/B testing across subject lines, creative messaging and send times.
Analyze performance data and identify optimization opportunities.
Translate insights into actionable recommendations to improve engagement and conversion.
Reporting & Insights
Track and report core lifecycle KPIs such as open rates, click‑through rates, conversions and revenue.
Support weekly and monthly reporting with clear performance summaries.
Partner with the Manager to align campaigns with broader business objectives.
Completion of Other Duties as Assigned
Required Qualifications
At least 2–3 years of experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM, marketing automation platforms or related internships and education.
Technical mindset combined with creative and analytical problem‑solving skills.
Strong prioritization and coordination abilities within a fast‑paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and project management skills.
Demonstrated strong work ethic and a desire to build a career in professional sports.
Ability to work non‑traditional hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, and attend home games or related events.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in marketing, digital marketing, business, analytics or a related field.
Experience with email, SMS and/or other digital marketing automation platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Attentive).
Background working in a fast‑paced or start‑up environment.
Compensation
Salary range: $55,000 – $60,000, based on experience and qualifications.
Full‑time, exempt position.
Bonus eligibility tied to club‑wide goals.
