Responsibilities
Manage communications to engage ICERM stakeholders, ensuring compliance and accurate documentation of project outcomes, particularly for NSF grants.
Develop and implement scientific communications and outreach to elevate the profile of ICERM and its programs.
Work closely with program staff and principal investigators to gather data, analyze research outputs, and effectively communicate the impact of mathematical research.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, public affairs, STEM, or a related field, or equivalent combination.
3+ years of professional experience in communications, marketing, public affairs, or grant writing.
Experience or education in STEM, research, or research administration preferred.
Preferred: familiarity with mathematics or the research environment.

Translate scientific concepts for diverse audiences.
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including strong command of MLA, Chicago, and/or AP editorial style.
Strong presentation skills with attention to detail and audience.
Knowledge of evolving social media platforms and best practices for engagement.
Sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality regarding personnel, funding, or research data.
Flexibility to adjust to changing demands and priorities.
Proficiency with communications applications and tools (Google Drive, MS Office, Google Analytics, Canva, Illustrator, Constant Contact).
Ability to sustain high productivity independently while collaborating as part of a team.
