Director of Amazon Advertising
Location: San Diego, CA 92101 (Onsite at Symphony Towers)
Compensation Range: $150,000-$200,000 DOE
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide strategic leadership for the Advertising department, overseeing budget planning, resource optimization, and organizational design to scale performance across teams
- Lead transformational initiatives to evolve advertising processes, improve executional efficiency, and position the team for future growth and industry leadership
- Set and drive the advertising vision, establishing KPIs, long-term objectives, and performance frameworks to deliver measurable business impact and maximize ROAS
- Mentor and develop high-potential leaders, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and professional growth aligned with company values
- Leverage market intelligence and performance analytics to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and guide the adoption of innovative Amazon Advertising strategies
- Ensure operational alignment by integrating departmental initiatives and milestones with company-wide goals, championing cross-functional collaboration at the executive level
What You Bring
- Five or more (5+) years of experience in Amazon Advertising, ideally in agency environments and as a senior individual contributor, including at least five (5) additional years in a management role
- Deep experience within the Amazon ecosystem; managing high-performing teams and driving strategic growth across complex advertising operations
- Demonstrated expertise in project and people management, including setting clear priorities, delegating effectively, and coaching teams toward aligned organizational goals
- Technical proficiency in data analysis and reporting, leveraging Excel/Google Sheets to extract insights, track performance, and inform strategic planning within Amazon Advertising
- Strong adaptability and executional focus, with the ability to manage multiple high-impact projects in a fast-paced, constantly evolving advertising landscape
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
