Job Description
The individual hired for this position will serve as Program Manager (PM) to support programmatic initiatives associated with the Cal’s Angels Advanced Leukemia Clinical and Research Program at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, including coordination of activities for the program such as program meetings and events, development of interdisciplinary colloquium, annual call for research proposals and management of reporting from proposal awardees, oversight of current and future quality and process improvement initiatives, implementation of community outreach and advocacy efforts that benefit patients living with Leukemia, partner with leaders to increase visibility of the program, including working with the Marketing team to maintain website and advertising and the development team to collaborate with program donors, and preparation and dissemination of quarterly reports for program donors.
Essential Job Functions
Coordinate programmatic activities and events, including preparation of data for reporting for donors, working with Marketing for maintenance of website and promotional materials, and providing operational support for the program’s tumor board.
Support project management needs and collaborate with project stakeholders and community partners across the project life cycle.
Use appropriate project management tools and concepts to guide and direct projects and team members.
Coach, train and mentor project team members as needed.
Understand and meet expectations for deliverables/metrics with quality and timeliness.
Coordinate efforts for conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis of project data and dissemination of findings.
Manage and direct regulatory activities to the IRB, funding agencies, etc., as needed.
Manage both internal and external communications related to project progress and outcomes.
Develop and maintain educational materials required for process improvement and community outreach activities.
Other job functions as assigned by program leadership.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor’s Degree required, Master Degree in Public Health, Education, Public Policy or equivalent.
Project Management certification preferred.
Minimum of 1–2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs.
Ability to develop, implement and manage projects, knowledge of principles of project management concepts and tools.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; responsive to requests/input.
Records maintenance skills.
Take an organized approach to work and planning; anticipate and adjust for barriers and prioritize appropriately.
Knowledge of distance learning technology.
Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments, including appropriate delegation of work.
Ability to investigate and analyze information and draw conclusions.
Organizing and coordinating skills; meticulously keeping track of details, being exacting, precise and accurate.
Education Pay Range
$70,720.00–$115,627.20
