Job Overview
Talent Programs Manager at Etsy will execute recurring talent programs, including promotions, talent planning, annual performance reviews, feedback, development check-ins, and 30-60-90 day check-ins. The role coordinates across key People team functions to ensure an optimal experience for internal employees. It may also involve projects in Employee Relations, Learning & Development, or Inclusion such as manager enablement, employee mobility, or policy updates.
Salary range: $117,000 – $153,000. Eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and competitive benefits. This position requires presence in the Brooklyn office once or twice per week; candidates within commuting distance will be given priority.
Responsibilities
Develop and drive project plans through effective collaboration across teams on timelines and deliverables.
Proactively identify gaps or risks to meeting strategic program goals and recommend solutions.
Optimize collaboration between teams to support information sharing, execution, and decision‑making workflows.
Create materials that foster a strong understanding of and easeful participation in programs for all end users, both internal team members and employees.
Collect and translate business requirements into technical requirements for People Systems teams to design solutions for performance programs.
Produce accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle, and drive effective communication to stakeholders about progress, flags, and decisions for different audiences.
Monitor and assess the impact of talent programs and propose improvements that enhance clarity, efficiency, and equitable access to opportunity.
Flex into adjacent People‑team priorities, partnering with Employee Relations on policy rollouts and with Learning & Development on content design, program launches, or facilitation support.
Qualifications
4+ years of relevant work experience in project/program management in the HR space; 2 years of experience in similar talent‑management programs (performance, employee relations, and/or learning & development) preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written.
Confident, professional, polished, and warm communication style.
Stakeholder‑management skills, especially with a mix of technical and non‑technical members.
Ability to prioritize and drive multiple concurrent projects to success.
Ability to maintain order during ambiguity and changing priorities.
Comfort using GoogleSuite, Slack, performance‑management software (such as Workday), and project‑management software (such as Monday.com).
Track record of using systems thinking to create new processes or improve existing ones to reduce waste.
Strong sense of accountability and ownership over work.
Bonus: experience writing employee‑facing communications or developing learning materials.
