Brand Video Editor & Motion Designer

A Dallas-based creative agency is looking for a Brand Video Editor & Motion Designer to join its growing creative team. The agency works with premium brands across hospitality, fashion, lifestyle, real estate, design, and other visually driven industries. Its work focuses on creating elevated brand identities, social media content, websites, and digital experiences with a high-end editorial look. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong creative taste, refined visual judgment, and the ability to bring brands to life through motion, storytelling, rhythm, and visual direction.
About the Role

This role combines two key crafts: video editing and motion design. You will edit real footage, select the strongest moments from large banks of raw content, and create short-form videos with rhythm, pacing, and restraint. You will also design motion graphics, including kinetic type, logo reveals, transitions, and animated brand elements. This is not a trend-driven social media editing role. The focus is on premium, timeless, brand-aligned creative work. You'll work closely with the Founder & Creative Director and help shape how brands move, feel, and exist digitally.
Responsibilities

Edit short-form vertical videos for Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
Cull and select the best footage from large raw content libraries
Create motion graphics, kinetic typography, logo reveals, transitions, and animated brand systems
Edit English-language talking-head content
Curate music, sound design, and voiceover to match each brand's identity
Build moodboards, visual treatments, and motion references
Create motion treatments for social content, websites, and brand films
Use AI creative tools thoughtfully when appropriate
Review and deliver work through Frame.io with clear versioning
Collaborate with the creative team while managing your own time independently
Requirements

Strong experience in Premiere Pro
Strong experience in After Effects
Portfolio showing both real-footage editing and motion graphics
Excellent editorial taste and visual judgment
Strong understanding of pacing, rhythm, storytelling, and sound
Advanced English, both written and spoken
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
Detail-oriented, self-directed, and comfortable working with creative ambiguity
Strong creative instincts and a refined visual eye
Ability to maintain consistent brand identity across different clients and industries
Nice to Have

Blender, Cinema 4D, Houdini, or other 3D tools
AI video or motion tools
Color grading experience
Web motion experience, such as Lottie or hero-section motion
Experience with hospitality, fashion, jewelry, interior design, real estate, or lifestyle brands

This role focuses on premium, timeless, editorial-quality creative work
This is not a character-animation or illustration-led role
This is not a 3D/CGI generalist role
Final creative direction comes from the Founder & Creative Director
Role Details

Full-time, 40 hours/week
Independent Contractor position
Remote within Colombia
Schedule: approximately 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM US Central Time
Reports to the Founder / Creative Director
Tools: Adobe Creative Cloud, Frame.io, Figma, Notion, Google Workspace, Slack
Time tracking: Hubstaff
Must have a computer capable of running Premiere Pro, After Effects, and large video files smoothly
Fast and reliable internet required
