Commercial Account Handler

Job Details

Salary: £24,000 – 28,000 per annum, depending on experience
Type: Full Time, Permanent Contract
Location: Bourne and Sleaford offices (split)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00
About the role

As a Commercial Account Handler, you will support the growth of our local team, ensuring the office runs smoothly and customers remain satisfied. You will handle policy amendments, sales, and claims, and build long‑lasting client relationships. You will also maintain professional and compliant selling practices, meeting the standards of NFU Mutual and the Insurance Distribution Directive.
Responsibilities

Process policy amendments, sales and claims for customers
Build and maintain long‑lasting relationships with clients
Provide consistently positive customer experiences
Adhere to NFU Mutual, T&C scheme and regulator requirements
Participate in Continuous Professional Development and routine screening checks as required by the Insurance Distribution Directive
Qualifications

Experience in customer service (banking, financial services or farming background preferred)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organisational and administrative skills
A minimum of five GCSEs (grades 9-5) including Maths and English
Patient, reassuring, and customer‑focused approach
