Summary
The Choral Director at Nottingham School will be responsible for leading and developing the choral program, fostering a love for music among students, and enhancing their vocal skills. This role requires a passionate and skilled musician who can inspire students of varying abilities and backgrounds, while also collaborating with faculty and the community to promote musical excellence within the school.

Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct choral rehearsals, ensuring a productive and engaging environment for all participants.
- Select appropriate choral repertoire that aligns with the educational goals and interests of students.
- Provide vocal instruction and guidance to enhance students' vocal techniques and performance skills.
- Organize and conduct performances, including concerts, festivals, and community events, showcasing students' talents.
- Collaborate with other music faculty to integrate choral music into the broader music curriculum.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support for individual growth.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Maintain communication with parents and guardians regarding student involvement and progress in the choral program.
- Manage administrative tasks related to the choral program, including scheduling, budgeting, and inventory of musical resources.
- Stay current with choral music trends, pedagogy, and educational practices to continually enhance the program.

Requirements
- Proven experience in choral conducting and vocal instruction, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of choral repertoire across various genres and styles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and the community.
- Proficiency in piano or other accompanying instruments is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing program logistics.
