Service Credit Union is seeking a Content Marketing Specialist who will be responsible for creating written content to support Service Credit Union’s business goals. This position will partner with the Creative Manager, Product Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing Manager to develop and implement a data‑driven content strategy in support of member growth and retention.
Compensation:

Starting at $70,000. Negotiable with experience.
Hours:

Monday – Friday 8:30a.m. – 5:00p.m.
Location:

Portsmouth, NH.
Hybrid:

Required – three days in office.

Position Responsibilities

Create, curate, and manage compelling content across various platforms, including website, email campaigns, SMS, digital media, and retail.
Collaborate with the digital marketing team to understand target audiences and create personalized, data‑driven content for the Service Credit Union website and email campaigns.
Work closely with the Creative Manager and Graphic Designer to ensure cohesive messaging across all deliverables.
Monitor, track, analyze, and report campaign performance, provide key findings to stakeholders, and utilize results to refine future campaigns.
Ensure all content adheres to Service Credit Union’s brand guidelines and tone of voice.
Design, test, and iterate AI‑assisted content strategies, including prompt engineering, content generation, and variation testing to efficiently create high‑quality, on‑brand content across channels.
Continuously evaluate emerging AI platforms and recommend new tools or approaches to improve efficiency and performance.
Required Knowledge and Skills

Bachelor’s degree preferred – ideally in marketing, journalism, or mass communications/advertising.
Minimum of three years’ experience in marketing, communications, or financial services.
Mastery of the English language with professional competency in copy editing (AP Style preferred).
Exceptional written and oral communication skills, combined with strong interpersonal skills.
Customer‑centric direct marketing mindset, with the ability to write clear, compelling, action‑oriented copy that builds trust across diverse audience segments.
Previous experience writing email, display, paid search, and website‑specific copy.
Ability to create and execute a broad creative copy vision, from daily product‑focused emails to big‑picture ideas.
Experience leveraging AI tools for content creation, editing, and optimization in a professional setting.
Comfort working in a test‑and‑learn environment, rapidly prototyping and iterating content ideas with AI.
Strong critical thinking skills to evaluate and improve AI‑generated content.
Ability to balance AI‑driven efficiency with high standards for accuracy, voice, and compliance.
Familiarity with email automation platforms such as Salesforce, Marketo, or HubSpot preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
SEO and Google Analytics experience a plus.
Ability to succeed under pressure, managing multiple concurrent projects and making quick‑turn updates.
