The Talent Manager at ICE Health Service Corps manages recruitment and hiring for PHS Commissioned Officers. Duties include creating announcements, candidate outreach, event management, data analysis, training, and policy development. Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and programs is highly valued.

This position is only open to current USPHS officers. USPHS Call to Active Duty (CAD) candidates are not eligible for this position.

COMPETENCIES

Knowledge of, and skill in applying, a wide range of methods, principles, and practices commonly used in the recruitment and placement process; and knowledge of the occupational design of positions within assigned organizations.

Written and oral communication techniques sufficient to develop and deliver briefings, project papers, status/staff reports, and correspondence to managers to foster understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations.

Consensus building, negotiating, coalition building, and conflict resolution techniques sufficient to interact appropriately in highly charged emotional situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time (6-8 Hours).

Performing repeated bending motion.

Average manual dexterity for computer operation.

Phone use for extended periods of time.

Travel required (recruitment events, conferences and workshops)
