Control Systems Operator III – Silverdale (Bangor)
Type: Non‑Exempt | Work Schedule: Full‑time | Compensation: $39.36–$39.36 per hour

Responsibilities

Monitor, operate, troubleshoot, and repair building automation and control systems at Naval Base Kitsap, Bangor.
Operate industrial control systems and related equipment.
Support troubleshooting and resolution of issues related to DDC systems, including sensors, actuators, and controllers.
Manipulate, control, and monitor system conditions; support maintenance and perform point checks.
Review and analyze control schematics, graphics, diagrams, and system documentation to aid in diagnostics and repairs.
Educate and train staff on the operation of DDC systems.
Maintain accurate records of service performed, system changes, and inventory of parts.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during all operational procedures.
Monitor system performance and recommend energy‑saving upgrades or modifications.
Conduct routine monitoring and inspections on DDC systems to ensure accurate functionality and reliability.
Be available for call‑back duties as operational needs arise.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree preferred.
0–3 years' experience in electronics, electrical engineering, HVAC technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of experience and education).
Experience with building automation systems or related technology.
Basic understanding of control theory, HVAC systems, and energy management practices.
Basic troubleshooting skills and the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Physical Requirements

Employees must be able to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time, with or without assistance: lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; reach, kneel, walk, stand; use repetitive motion for several hours; climb in and out of a vehicle; go up and down stairs; and work effectively under pressure for extended periods.
Security and Driver’s License

A valid state driver’s license is required and must be maintained for Tessera’s insurance coverage. Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL‑ID‑compliant driver’s license or an acceptable alternative such as a U.S. passport or military ID. Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E‑Verify will be conducted.
