Vice President, Group Director - Local Media
Position Description
This position reports to the SVP, Director of Local Media and involves close collaboration with the Account Directors and Local Market Specialists to oversee all aspects of account activity, stewardship, and client reporting. The Group Director will be responsible for analyzing and reporting on market conditions and trends, strategizing and effectively communicating the clients’ needs to the local broadcast team. Responsibilities include coordinating deadlines, managing work activity, assisting with high level negotiations, and special projects. Additionally, this role involves working alongside the Operations Director to identify opportunities for efficiencies, new approaches, and automation, as well as developing methods to achieve department goals.

Skills and Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant local broadcast industry experience, including management positions
- Senior director level relationships within the television and radio sales industry
- Strong interpersonal skills for fostering department relationships and interacting with senior/executive levels
- Capability to manage personnel across various levels
- An independent and proactive individual with a capacity to develop and implement ideas to meet objectives
- Expertise in innovative and strategic problem-solving
- A team player who can prioritize, multitask, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Organized and meticulous in attention to detail
- Proficiency in budget management and financial analysis
- Barter experience is beneficial but not mandatory
