This is a field-based role available in multiple states within the United States. While specific cities are listed in the Locations section for reference, please note that they are examples only and do not limit your application. Purpose

We are looking for a dynamic sales leader that can motivate and lead teams to produce exceptional results. In this position you will manage the sales and clinical teams for their assigned territory and nurture our culture of trust, honor, and integrity. You will also manage and partner with the Region Clinical Manager who is responsible for oversight and direction of the clinical consultant team members. You must showcase proven success developing & executing sales strategies that result in the achievement of sales goals.

You Will Be Responsible For

  • Direct the region’s sales activities that result in meeting annual growth and revenue objectives
  • Set sales targets and forecasts
  • Identify, hire, retain and develop talent through proactively managing performance.
  • Develop strategies for launching new accounts and greater penetration in existing accounts
  • Establish effective communications with executives and managers across the company to ensure proper sensitivity to the needs of sales
  • Lead difficult sales negotiations, especially with larger prospects
  • Collaborate with functional departments of the company, specifically but not limited to Operations, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Regulatory, and Clinical Affairs
  • Liaise with Marketing and Professional Education to further develop value added strategies, tools, programs and services

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience with 5+ years of high‑performance experience in the MedTech space, with a high preference for cardiovascular space
  • 7+ years of management experience of a field commercial team or a combination of 3+ years of successful leadership in the Abiomed Associate Region Director role.
  • Bachelors degree required; MBA Preferred
  • Preferred background with diverse functional roles (i.e sales training, field enablement, etc)
  • Proven track record of success in managing a growing sales organization
  • Ability to gain cooperation of others and lead team members
  • Ability to negotiate and influence senior level leaders & KOLs
  • Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
  • Ability to travel up to 60%
  • Conduct duties and responsibilities in accordance with all state and federal laws and regulations governing the medical device industry required

The base pay for this position is $150,000.

The Company maintains a highly competitive sales incentive compensation program. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for participation in this program in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.

This position is eligible for a car allowance through the Company’s Fleet program.

  • Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year
  • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year
  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year
  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
