Vice President of Sales and Marketing — Fleet Management / Road Service
Position Summary
The Vice President of Sales and Marketing is responsible for leading the company’s growth strategy for mobile on-site truck and fleet repair services. This executive oversees all sales, marketing, customer acquisition, and business development activities focused on expanding emergency roadside repair, mobile maintenance, and fleet service operations. The role is responsible for increasing revenue, building strategic fleet relationships, strengthening brand presence, and driving market expansion across service territories.
Sales & Marketing
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans focused on mobile road service, fleet maintenance, and emergency repair services.
- Build and manage relationships with fleet managers, logistics companies, owner-operators, dealerships, and commercial transportation partners.
- Lead sales initiatives to secure national, regional, and local fleet accounts.
- Establish sales goals, pricing strategies, and revenue targets for mobile service operations.
- Identify new markets, territories, and service opportunities to expand roadside support coverage.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer demands within the trucking and transportation industry.
- Develop marketing campaigns promoting 24/7 emergency roadside assistance, mobile truck repair, and preventative maintenance services.
- Oversee digital marketing, social media, online reputation management, and local market advertising.
- Strengthen brand recognition as a trusted rapid-response mobile service provider.
- Coordinate marketing efforts that support dispatch operations, fleet acquisition, and technician recruitment.
- Analyze campaign performance and customer engagement metrics to improve lead generation and ROI.
Business Development & Operations
- Collaborate with operations and dispatch teams to align service capabilities with customer expectations.
- Support expansion of mobile service trucks, territories, and technician staffing.
- Develop strategic partnerships with towing companies, dealerships, fleet management companies, and transportation associations.
- Improve customer retention through service programs, account management, and response-time performance initiatives.
- Prepare sales forecasts, operational reports, and growth strategies for executive leadership.
Leadership & Team Development
- Recruit, mentor, and lead high-performing sales and marketing teams.
- Foster a customer-focused culture centered on responsiveness, professionalism, and reliability.
- Establish KPIs and accountability systems for sales growth, customer satisfaction, and market penetration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field preferred.
- 5–7+ years of leadership experience in sales, marketing, fleet services, transportation, trucking, or mobile service industries.
- Strong understanding of commercial truck repair, roadside assistance, and fleet operations.
- Proven success in business development and revenue growth.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience with CRM systems, digital marketing platforms, and fleet service sales strategies.
