Summary

You will oversee a portfolio of clients with heightened complexity in areas such as compliance, finance and marketing, serving as the primary point of contact for exceptional service and collaborating with diverse operational teams.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Work with senior team members to prepare and send requests for proposals to applicable insurance carriers and summarize results as they come in.
Review contracts, benefit plan summaries, and carrier source documents for accuracy under the direction of the Account Executive or Advisor; begin to learn more complex compliance and regulatory policy language.
Create and maintain client files in accordance with office procedures; may be responsible for keeping client policy records.
Respond to client and/or insurance company questions (e.g., ID card requests, claims or billing questions) as the lead on inquiries.
Develop ongoing relationships with clients and coordinate with Senior Account Manager, Account Executives or Advisors in doing so.
Develop relationships with carrier representatives to understand available products and services and recommend them to clients.
Learn vendor/carrier products and services from more senior colleagues.
Review and analyze requests for proposals and insurance plan analyses; participate in negotiations with carriers and recommend renewal actions under the direction of a senior team member.
Assist Account Manager in drafting renewal presentations.
Assist with creating and updating benefits-related guides and educational resources for clients.
Learn how to conduct annual client compliance audits using the NFP portal and assist more senior Account Managers in preparing documents.
Attend to client requests including product or vendor service or performance challenges.
File Form 5500 filings and seek assistance as needed.
Participate in client projects such as implementation of new business, open enrollment, non-discrimination testing, etc., under the direction of more senior team members.
Create monthly, quarterly and annual reports for client review as needed.
Distribute monthly or quarterly newsletters and other briefings and content as appropriate.
Assist with the creation of client corporate wellness programs and offerings.
Knowledge, Skills, And/or Abilities

Knowledge of benefits administration, HealthCare Reform, industry trends, carrier products and services.
Ability to work independently and anticipate client and team needs.
Effective time management and decision-making skills.
Diligent follow-up skills.
Ability to express ideas clearly in both written and oral communications.
Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Commanding presentation and public speaking abilities.
Education And/or Experience

Associate\'s degree (or equivalent), and BA/BS preferred.
More than 2-3 years client service and/or industry and product line experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registration

Appropriately licensed or ability to obtain licensing if required.

The base salary range for this position is $55,000 – $105,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
