Role and Responsibilities
The District Sales Manager (DSM) position manages Subaru retail sales performance across Metro NYC and Long Island, NY covering several Subaru retailers. The DSM serves as a business consultant to those retailers on all business matters, namely sales, marketing, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
Responsibilities
Maximize vehicle retail sales and achieve vehicle wholesale objectives.
Manage vehicle allocations, retailer inventory levels, and sales operations forecasts.
Develop retailer internet sales/marketing operations, lead handling processes, and web site optimization.
Promote the sale of Subaru Added Security products, certified pre-owned sales, and port-installed accessory sales.
Promote broad retailer advertising and marketing efforts and guide such efforts to conform with brand objectives.
Recommend retail sales processes to maximize customer satisfaction and retention.
Consult with retailers on profitability opportunities.
Direct brand training efforts for retail sales personnel.
Generate high quality writing for retailer contact reports to memorialize your efforts and to assist executive management in monitoring overall retail network performance.
Promote broad retail participation in important brand programs and initiatives including advertising initiatives, product training events, corporate conference attendance, etc.
Work as a team with District Parts/Service Managers (DPSMs) and conduct joint retailer contacts as needed

Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
An ideal candidate will possess a 4-year college degree, 2+ years of professional experience in a corporate setting and some form of retail sales experience in the automobile industry. Other Considerations
